This work attire post is long over due!
If you’re like me, figuring out what to wear in the morning is the last thing you want to do. But more importantly I want to look effortlessly chic at work, without doing “too much.” Shopping for work clothes was my least favorite thing to do, until I started t mix “play” with “work.” Your work attire should be far from boring and uninspiring. I always say when you look good you feel even better. Dressing up for work can make the world of a difference to how your day flows.
For me, pairing classic (printed) slacks with low-heeled pumps and a turtleneck (my office is always cold…rolls eyes) is a simple, yet chic look. Too add some sophistication to my look, I paired this tailor wool coat over my shoulders. Voila! You have an ultra chic fall work look. Always, always, always remember your basics when shopping for work attire. Make your statement pieces your shoes or a bold print jacket. Taking a look from day to night is as simple as adding a bold lipstick or a leather jacket for happy hour or dinner. My work look has to be able to transition occasions! Ann Taylor is one of my favorite stores to get chic and classic work pieces to take my outfits to the next level (currently having 60% off sale items).
