Currently Loving: The Embroidered Tee

fashion bloggerfashion blogger madewell au revoir retro tee madewell au revoir retro teeEmbroidered tees have been taking over the fashion world by storm! Clearly I’m a huge fan.. my collection is growing uncontrollably (the obsession is real). Thanks to stores like Madewell for making so many fashion-forward tees. Personally, I love them for days when I don’t feel like getting dressed up. Now that school is back in session, embroidered tees are perfect for casual campus attire. Just a heads up, you’ll be seeing me in these all fall.

Channel the trend by matching an embroidered tee with a midi skirt and heeled sandals. Alternatively, keep it casual and match an oversized logo tee with a distressed denim, a leather jacket and black booties like I did. How will you make the trend your own this season? Let me know below!

On another note, as many of you know, grad school has kept me extremely occupied these last few months. I miss blogging every day but school comes first. I’m gearing up to release new fall looks that are wearable, affordable and on point capturing all the fall trends. Here are a few things grad school is teaching me about this period in my life:

  1. Everything will be there when you’re finished with school

It’s so easy to feel like you’re missing out on everything that’s happening but I promise, it’ll be there. At the end of each week I’d find myself drained and unmotivated to do anything. School was contumely all my time and when I saw an event happening, I felt left out. But I quickly realized that my path is different and I’m making a sacrifice for my future.

2.   Find a balance that works for you

Sounds simple enough but during the first week of school I missed an assignment because I had no schedule. And I’d do homework every single day, no breaks, This became unhealthy because I wasn’t making time for myself. Once I broke studying into sections & days, things flowed easier.

3. Go for it & don’t settle

Whatever it is that you want in life, you can have it & it’s never too late to start. Success takes sacrifice, dedication and hard work…three things I’m learning more now. I seriously go after whatever I put my mind to…scholarships, business, dreams, goals. If I want it, I plan it out and work towards it every single day. Can’t wait to check grad school off my to-do list!
