Can you guys believe January is almost over? It seems like it literally flew by! I wanted to talk to you guys about stepping up your fashion sense this year without breaking the bank. I never want my blog to make you feel like you HAVE to go out and spend money. But instead, I want it to be a place of outfit inspiration for every occasion.
I know I mention this a lot but it’s important for me to let you guys know that spending a ton of money on clothes isn’t the answer to taking your closet to the next level. It’s about picking the right pieces and daring to be different. Back in the summer I shared how to successfully online shop. This year I want to step out of the box with my style more and experiment with colors and patterns (something I usually don’t do).
My entire look was inspired by high-end street style at an affordable price. When styling this outfit, I knew I wanted to go with something classic and timeless but I also wanted to add my own modern take on it. And…what’s truly more classic than a Chanel inspired tweed jacket? I mean I cannot mention tweed without thinking of Coco Chanel. This jacket is from ZARA and was on sale for $40. Instead of denim I went with blue striped crêped trousers to dress the look up!
I’ve rocked these boots with just about every outfit this week. I waited, and waited for them to go on sale before making the splurge. Another reason they caught my eye was the color. It’s a ashy grey color that I love with jeans or dresses. Smart buying or careless spending is the motto this year. Who’s joining me?
